I just got a call from Father Allen's wife. He had his PVI today and is having a hard time of it. Many things didn't go quite right, but he is out of surgery and Natale said that the procedure went well. The two problems that are concerning them at the moment are: 1) his blood pressure has dropped dangerously 2 or 3 times quite suddenly (60+/40) and 2)his left groin incision area is extremely painful; especially when he got out of bed. Has anyone had either of these problems who could shed any light? He does not have any idea what's causing them - blood was taken and tests done when the blood pressure first dropped, but he hasn't been told anything. My blood pressure was pretty low, but did not get dangerously so, and I have had almost no discomfort at the incision sites, so I couldn't shed any light. I'm going to call him tomorrow, so if anyone can help, please contact me and I'll pass the info along.
