It is already "tomorrow" in New Zealand, and John has already had his maze, according to the post by his son on his www/thestatus.com patient page. All appears to have gone well, and they have "closed his chest", even though his son says that he is "still on the heart/lung machine". I am sure he means a ventilator tube.
