Most likely, the difference is in how the "Browser" options are set up on the different computers. In Internet Explorer, you can have the setting to refresh the page every time you come to it or to never refresh unless you do it manually.
When the page doesn't look like you think it should, the first step should be to refresh the page through hitting "F5" or "CTRL R". That should bring up any changes or new messages.
When two computers see things differently, then the problem is usually in the settings of one of the computers.
