Pam,
The incidence of pseudo aneurysms is only around 1/200. I had one, and that makes me a little hyper sensitive on the subject. I recognized mine by a growing discomfort in the groin, a growing lump and a throbbing sensation. While I normally exercise a lot, I only walked a few miles starting two days after my procedure, resumed driving and working. At work I move around on a rolling chair between computer and desk and this involves a lot of leg work. My left knee was injured so I was pushing and pulling with my right leg which is the side of the artery that was accessed as a part of the procedure. I recommend that you not worry about it much. Instead, discuss with your local cardiologist that your are going to CC and can you call on him/her for any follow-up treatment that may be required. Also, discuss with the staff at CC any concerns you have about your release. When I have this procedure once more (mine was not finished in Houston) I will not resume normal activities until I am on the same level of anticoagulation as prior to the procedure -- just coumadin -- and I feel little or no discomfort in the groin. We are tempted to get back on the bike, or horse or in the swimming lanes ASAP, but allow yourself a few days of rest.
I think you are going to be fine and I look forward to your sharing a report with everyone.
Bill
