Congratulations! Mine was on the 12th. I just hit 44 too and had had AF since about 14 or 15. I had never heard of the MAZE until the day I found this newsgroug. The information and stories people shared made my decision. I was ready to pack up and head anywhere to get the surgery done - then was pleasantly surprised that one of the most experienced MAZE surgeons was in my city.
My chest still is very sore at times, but NO AF!
