I agree completely with Ed. I had lone Atrial fibrillation and had the Maze on September 18. I feel great now. Did not feel good or have any energy before surgery. I felt better the day after surgery than I had in a long time. At least your Cardiologist did not completely dismiss the Maze surgery as my original Cardiologist did. I feel know the best way to get a cardiologist that will work with you or at least give you a choice is to go to a surgeon that does the Maze and get the name of a Cardiologist that has refered patients to him. I changed Cardiologists after the surgery and feel that I have a well qualified Cardiologist that also deals with my total well being.
