That was well put, James and I certainly agree with you. I remember visiting with Dr. McCarthy before I decided on the maze procedure and marvelling how he so easily wanted me to consider the EP department as well as his surgical approach. I never saw nor felt rivalry while I was there. Most of the doctors at CC are good enough to have huge egos but they either don't or they keep them well under control. One of the advantages of going to CC with AFib is that you can look at and get input about several options. I am sure there are other good medical facilities that have been mentioned on this board that follow this approach as well. And, for each and every successful cure of AFib that is posted, I cheer and am thankful no matter where it is done.
