It appears some have had success with doctors other than Dr. Cox, and this is really no longer an argument anyway. Surgeons other than Dr. Cox will ~have~ to be utilized, since Cox is no longer available. This is too bad, since while good care can be found, it's always preferable to go to the Master. I thought it was important to mention Massumi's imcomplete EP study as well as his inaccurate diagnosis, in order to dispell the notion that all doctors are equally competent. This is an idea that's upgraded even more when one goes to a big time center such as Houston. In a "no-Cox" world, I think one needs to be a bit more discerning. While good results from someone else might be had, it's crucial to look at who it is. Doctors in even small hospitals do bypass surgery routinely, but that doesn't mean one would not rather have Denton Cooley, a pioneer of the procedure, do it. Ask a lot of questions, online if you wish, but also of doctors. Research on the Net. Go to a local hospital's medical library, if available. I didn't have the Internet 12 years ago, but I followed the other routes, and all the echoes that came back were consistently, "Cox, Cox, Cox." Pay attention to this, not necessarily to anyone who's had good luck locally. Sometimes, it's just that.
