I met with Dr. Cox back in 1998. It was a great visit, but I wasn't mentally prepared for the operation at that point. The one thing that surprised me was that he said he could start work on me right then and there. It would have alleviated a lot of fear and angst. I waited another 3 years and then had the surgery after more operations were done and it was less of a experimental surgery. My gratitude to him is large, and I would love to look him in the eye and express my thanks.
Carl, if you get to see DR Cox, please do it for me.
