I have heard that Tikosyn does work for awhile, but it really sucks to be constantly worried about going into AF again. I started treatment for AF at age 40 with very limited success. I was resigned to a life of AF, until I got the nerve up to do the MAZE. If I had the opportunity of an ablation helping, I would have jumped on it.
I would recommend that you check out as many HMOs as you can. If you can join the chamber of commerce in your town, there is usually good health insurance associated with it. Right now health insurance should be a priority to keep your options open.
