I just spoke with Rob's wife, and Rob is doing well. He is up and walking even though he had both a mini-maze and then an open chest procedure a few hours later because of the bleeding which developed.
From her description of Rob (sounds VERY "type-A" to me), he is very competitive and athletic and will push himself to get back to his best shape quickly, so we can probably count upon reading of exploits similar to Ed Wehan's.
Rob will be 47 on Sunday, and probably home waxing his skiis or getting ready for white water kayaking following the snow melt.
