OK, I just couldn't resist after reading Anders' post. I haven't had my second follow up echo yet (scheduled for August), but functionally I 'm better than I have been probably in about 15-16 years. Because I use an ergometer for training purposes, I know what my intensity level is. I haven't done an all out test, but at 15 lb lighter, (trying to go lightweight) I have duplicated my one hour sustained effort times from 5 years ago (236 W x 60'). The only time I did better was just prior to surgery when I had bumped my blood count to 55 with epo in preparation and for some reason stayed in NSR. As an aside, exercise would often put in af, but I would be relatively refractory to af for the first several hours after I converted. Being my new svelte self, I did a complete lake tour last night (4.6 km) in under 20 minutes, a new pr for me.
I would just repeat what Anders said, it is a joy not to have to worry (much) about tachyarrhythmias and af.

So for all of you who have just recently gone through surgery, hang in there, it just takes some time (and a little effort).
