Pete, don't feel bad about putting the maze off for 3 years. I put it off for 5 years myself, before I got bad enough that I had to give in to it. Then I didn't know anything about it, and didn't have a computer to check out anything. All I could find out about the maze was in the hospital library. I was just lucky enough to have a good cardiologist, and a local surgeon that did the maze.
The Maze is a huge step for anyone to take, but isn't it great to be free of AF, and all the meds. I really had more problems from the medications side effects, than I did the AF. I just didn't know about what was causing all of them until it was too late. Life is now good, even at the age of 69, (turned 69 today.)
I'm glad you posted and hope as Carl said you remain a regular on the board. We can always use the input of other mazers, and we all learn from each other.
Best wishes for continued success, and the good life.
