October 11th was my 9 month anniversary of my maze procedure and mitral valve repair. The surgery was performed one month prior to my 60th birthday. I have enjoyed a complete recovery. No coumadin! My surgeon was Dr. David A. Fullerton, chief of the division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago, Il. He should be added to your list of Illinois surgeons! The treatment I received at Northwestern was A+.
