Thanks for replay. As I stated I have battled Afib since 1999. I was diagnosed in Florida in March 2000.
The truth is that I did not have Medical coverage before September 1999. And before March 2000 was thinking that my attacks are sort of panick attacks.
In March 2000 I was traveling by car from Miami to Key West when my attack started and I decided to check up what was wrong with me in nearest hospital.
I was kind of shocked by the EKG result.
They told to me to find cardiologist and prescribed Digoxin(if I spelled it correctly). I noticed that this drug only prolonged the duration of my attacks.
besides I descovered about all this dengerous side effects. Just discontinued it.
Right now my cardiologist prescribed for me verapamil 120 mg in a case of the attack and aspirin daily.
He sais less drug you take healthier you going to be.However he is skeptical about PVA and even scared about the Maze.
My attacks are not regullar Somtimes I do not get any in month and then one after another.
Since last December I became vegetarian and should say that feel much better than before. I also had some problems with high blood presure now it normalized. I do not know if it normalized because of my diet or went down as the result of my Afib stuff. I was reading that heart musle weakens because of Afib and thet leads that your blood pressure droups as well ???
Also I noticed that duration of my attacks became much shorter. However they did not desapiar like my high blood pressure.
I also noticed that if I take verapamil to slow down my heart rate while attack then after I have headaick
and also I am sweating like just took a shower. In fact i noticed it is better to tollerate the attack just doing nothing.
By the way ussualy before the attack I usually have upset stomack kind of bables in a stomack. Did anybody have this expirience ?
I do not think that I am going to be a candidate for Maze. May be PVA, all I know I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THIS TERRIBLE MEDS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO AVOID IT.
I will schedule an apoitment with CC stuff. I found out that CC is in my Insurance network and all the doctors you mentioned on this board as well.
