Sorry not to have posted before now, but I have been fighting a virus on the computer. Just got everthing cleaned up so here I am. I just hope I have not infected anyone else.

I am feeling so good. Better than I have felt in years. Going to be hard to go easy for the next few weeks. Have an appointment with Dr Barnes on the 30th of October. I can start driving again next week. Then will find out at the end of the month what I can do and when I can do more. I have a lot of little things I want to get done.

I went in for surgery on the morning of the 18th of September. I remember showering that morning, but absolutly nothing else until I awoke in ICU. We were staying in a guest house a block from the hospital and my wife says we walked to the hospital, can't prove it by me.

I was in NSR when I came out of surgery and have been there since. Stayed at a cousins in Boise and slept in a recliner there. Tried one night in a bed and made it for about 2 hours. The trip home took 2 days like Ron Kidders trip home. When I read his posting on August 21 I thought that sound like my trip home will be. His trip normally was 4-5 hours, mine about an hour longer. I rode great for about 3 hours stopping and enjoying doing a few things then just ran out of steam.

I saw Dr. Barnes in Boise A week ago monday. My EKG was great and my blood pressure was great. He pulled the last of my staples and the next day we were off for home. It has been great I feel better every day. Last night I made it all night in our bed. Been sleeping in a recliner here. Starting in bed some nights then moving to the recliner. Could sleep on my left and right sides last night so hopefully that will get better every night.

I brought my records with me for the Doctors here. Dr Wortham my GP read them and said the MAZE is much more complcated than a Bypass. Said he had assisted with several bypasses. I am going to a Cardiologist in Pocatello for follow up. He has referred patients to Dr Barnes so hopefully will be up to speed if I do have any problems.

Thanks to all for all the support I have received. Especially to Jack Drum and Carl Plaskett who called and checked up on me. Brenda really appreciated there calls.
