I would guess that you are no longer taking coumadin. One of the good things about this operation is that they snip off the appendage in the atrium that is the main cause of the pooling/clotting of blood which leads to a much higher stroke rate in AFibbers.
I would take a steady heartbeat in junctional rhythm over an irregular beat with an atrium moving like a sack of worms. Watching my echocardiogram while in AF helped convince me to get the maze.
How do you feel now in comparison to how you felt before the operation?
