I moved this post from being a "reply" to a May 10 Post.
Please read and respond to this new "poster". (Any input, Steve?)

TC this is my first time here on the message board Having been referred by a caring regular. Your situation is
somewhat familiar to mine in that I experienced my 1st afib episode on 9/14/02 after using 60 mg of prednisone
daily for 4 days. After about 10 hours in the hospital on cardizem drip, I converted on my own to nsr. I was
terrified, this being my first episode etc... I made 200 bpm at one point& irregular etc.. In any event, the
cardiologist felt very confident that my use of caffeine and recent prednisone had irritated my atria in some way
thus triggering the afib. I must admit I was feeling quite energetic on the prednisone! Certainly, I hope he was
correct. In closing, could it be the steroid? Who really knows for sure. I certainly hope so! Good health to
everyone. THX F.H.
