Thanks for the update Val. That was well put and informative. I'm not sure any of us who have gone through this surgery have any regrets and if anything, most of us wish we had done it long ago. Unfortunately, the education process from the physician (cardiologist) community is lacking in awareness of the significant reduction in lifestyle and increase in health risks that AFib poses. But, as you also note, post surgery can have its ups and downs before the heart settles into a healthy rhythm. I am a fan of Dr. Millar although I went to CC and had great results there. Mine was the minimally invasive (a relative term)procedure which went very smoothly for me. I think that body type has much to do with the decision as to what's best. Anyway, I'll look forward to your two month post.
