Roger,
I have had both Atrial Flutter and Atrial Fibrillation. I have been able to distinguish them using the Polar-type pulse counter. The Atrial Flutter counts are very steady and do not vary from one to the next by more than 1 beat.
Example: 130,130,131,130,129,130, etc.

The Atrial Fibrillation counts jump around by 1,2,3 or even 4 beats:
Example: 120,123,119,121,117,119,122, etc.

I have since bought an EKG monitor that plugs into my computer. This gives an excellent 2-lead EKG and shows extra beats, missing beats, etc.

I don't know anything about the PACs and PVCs.

Hope this helps,
Henry
