Aaa! My favourite subject..:-) Three years out (Mazed Feb. -99), I now train and race freely again. This would have been impossible without the Maze. I can still feel an initial "resistance" during a work out, but it has gotten better over time. My guess is that the scaring etc. the heart's been subjected to plays a role here. Also - coming back after the Maze to whatever level you're coming from of course takes time and calls for quite an effort in terms of excercise / traning. It's also important to bear in mind that time / age in itself of course makes it difficult to compare your pre-Afib best with your current, post-Maze, best.
Independent of your goals and ambitions, the feeling of well-being and the possibilities to do things without being hindered by Afib makes such a huge difference.
Best regards,
Anders, an avid runner, in-line skater, tennis player and cross-country skier.

Ps. And the sex life is just great, thanks for asking...
