Ken,

Some of my most satisfying diving experiences have been in somewhat cold, dark water feeling my way around to attach a lift bag to a house boat at the bottom of Lake Lanier (Atlanta area). A full 1/4" wet suit was my best friend. I hope you find the DAN site helpful. They are a great organization. Just remember that all of the training that we go through to be certified is intended to prevent accidents and insure that we know what to do should something goes wrong. Be careful gearing up and getting out. Remember the sternum isn't completely healed for at least 6 months. Dive safely my friend. I wish I could join you to check out that area. I haven't been pushing to go back down, but still enjoy my snorkeling. A 30' free dive is still quite a rush without all the hassel of all the heavy hardware.

Dave
