Tim: I find it interesting that Steve, others, and even my EP a couple of months after my Maze, said that Rythmol has a slight HR lowering/Beta blocker effect. When I went into aflutter a couple of months post maze, my EP told me over the phone to take some Rythmol. I did. My HR increased. I called him back. Take more said he. I did, and my HR increased more. Come to the hospital and I'll convert you, said he. I did, and have never had another problem or taken any Rythmol.
Another anecdotal example of how "different" we all are in our reaction to afib/aflutter, AND drugs!

Steve: I'm glad I didn't read your "alligator clip" story immediately post-maze. I really chuckled, thinking about the hospital staff admonishing you and confiscating your "clips". What did Dr. Cox think? I would imagine that he got a laugh as well, since he seems to be a pretty amusing guy himself.
