Hey Patricia-
I am new to this board. So, if I am asking you something that you have already posted sorry. Did you have your valve repaired before your maze procedure or during and if after how long after the first surgery, because I have my valve repaired and a very severe infection in my heart with pacemaker involvement in Oct. 2001, so my primary electro-phys. doc thinks this my screw up my chances for getting the maze done, although I am awaiting a call from Dr. McCarthy,CC, as we speak. So, I was kind of hoping to find others who have had open heart prior to open heart for the maze.
