I also had mine done at CC (1/18/01). My Operative Procedure(Dr. McCarthy) states, regarding the left atrium:"Cryolesions were placed at the mitral valve annulus and then outside and then inside the coronary sinus, each at -60 degrees centigrade for two minutes...". Re: the right atrium: "Cryolesions were placed on the two areas on the tricuspid valve annulus and up the superior vena cava and then down the inferior vena cava".
It appears that the only "cut & sew" was to access the above areas AND to open and close my chest, since I had the open chest routine. Mike Johnson was done around the same day as you and has also had some adjustment problems, but reports that he is doing much better. Ed Wehan, who was also done on the 11th is now out snow skiing and has been running at least as much as 13 miles. We all seem to heal at different rates. Just keep your spirits up and exercise as much as you can (walking or whatever). I think that exercise speeds the healing process and coincidentally, improves one's spirits.
