The Mayo clinic has been doing the Maze procedure since 1993. Mary is correct, they have now done over 300 Maze surgeries.

Everyone interested in the Maze should see the presentation at www.meetingcast.com/arr/hrtbrnd/index2.html It is the best description of the surgery that I have seen. It is a miracle that the heart heals up so fast after that much trauma.
