WHOA, John! I certainly am not in the "amazing" category like Ed, Steve, Anders, Alan, or probably several other "mazers". I just have decided that, having done all I could to celebrate my new found heart health by drinking lots of my wine supply, which had been largely been untouched for a few years, and consuming and doing things which were sure "triggers" in the past, that I just needed to get back into shape.
Now that I am beginning to work at it, I am even more convinced that afib was a problem even earlier than I thought, since exercise seems to be easier than when I was in good shape until '88-'91. I can't remember feeling this good back then. Who knows, I might come to enjoy or at least tolerate running, which was always my least favorite exercise, probably because I was not good at it.

Good, hard walking on hills will get you into just as good condition, heart-wise, but if you start timing yourself over the different segments of your route, you might find yourself pushing harder to "beat your time" and you might get addional motivation from that. That is mostly what I want to do, just improve my times for a few more years before age catches up with me.
