I would guess that another month or two in NSR will be indicative of having eliminated the electrical pathways which were contributing to your afib. I will continue to hope so, since you are doing better than most of us who had ablations. Of course, most of ours were NOT with the latest techniques, which contributes to the skepticism expressed towards ablations by many of us. While we say that "we've been there-done that", most of us probably had different procedures.

After you feel you are "out of the woods" re: afib, perhaps you can provide us with some details from your "operative report", which might shed some light on why you have become one of the "cured". Such posts would undoubtably be helpful to others weighing their afib cure options.

Then again, you may just be one of the 50% "cured" your EP told you to expect.
