The ejection faction is purely a subjective measurement of how well the heart is working. I posted those numbers to show the before and after performance of my heart. The numbers only represent one side of the heart function. Normal people with a healthy heart should have roughly 50% or better. Well conditioned athletes could reach 60%. I hope this explanation helps you understand these numbers.
