Dale went to his heart doctor on Wednesday, and he is still in NSR, which pleases him a whole bunch!. The "stabbing" pain in his chest is gone, but he still has some soreness which is to be expected. He still has trouble trying to stand up straight, but it is getting easier. His appetite is getting better, and he is enjoying food again. Actually he's glad he lost weight (20 pounds), and he is trying to keep it off.
Dale always has had a huge amount of energy, but this "maze surgery" has slowed him down quite abit. Dr Pat McCarthy warned him that this would happen, but Dale didn't believe him----now he does. He is back at some of his activites, and back to his office a few hours a day, and even drove our new horse trailer to get a small electrical problem fixed. A friend cranked it up for him on the bed of the truck as he is very careful about the weight limits and lifting. He is anxious to get back to riding, as Show-Season starts soon.I think that may take awhile. Dr. McCarthy said it would be at least 2 months, but it is going to be longer then that. In the mean time, I get to show his horse which pleases me, but he is a "little" crabby about.
Best wishes to all, and thanks for this great site---it has really helped alot!. Lee finley--wife of Dale finley.
