The overriding weight has been lifted for a year now, thank God. Except for one incidence at 3 months, it has been sinus all the way. I remember the dread of facing the operation in perspective now, and making the decision was a toughey. My new cardiologist has strong ideas against the maze, repeating the often held belief that it is foolish to risk your life on a "benign condition". The way I see it, I not only added years to my time on earth, but I added damn good years. There is nothing like taking good health away from you to really appreciate good health.
I saw my cholesterol is up, but statins are a fact of life for me now, apparrently.
Good luck to everyone on the board, and pass the information on as the many other regular posters have done. This board convinced me!
