I'm still taking the beta blocker until we return to Cleveland in early May for our 3 month checkup. Hopefully, I can come off of it at that time. Sherry is also still on the beta blocker as well as the anti-arrythmic. I'm not sure whether our blood count has come up, or whether it is an effect of the beta blocker, but our heart rates have come down. Mine is around 70bpm; Sherry's was lower than that. Our cardiologist also suggested that anemia was the cause of the increased heart rate after surgery; however, Sherry and I had been on Lanoxin and beta-blockers for years, and we came off off these immediately after surgery - with no gradual decline. I think our hearts were saying "hey, what's going on here?" I wonder if anyone else has had that same experience?

We're both during well - Sherry is now back at work and we are gaining strength and endurance as time goes on.

Thanks for this website and the opportunity to share and learn.
