I forgot to mention that I appreciate how troubling this must be after going through the surgery and feeling completely cured. Been there. I provided all that detail to let you know that even this most likely has a reasonably easy "fix". You might want to contact the folks where you had your surgery if you haven't already, and suggest that to your cardiologist as well (if (s)he hasn't already.
