On my one year anniversary, I decided to watch a MAZE procedure again. It's interesting to see my surgeon (Dr. Millar) at work. There are many procedures profiled at the site I am going to reference. I noticed one that details the "Radial" procedure as an offshoot of the MAZE and another that discusses and details minimally invasive surgery.
MAZERs might find this quite interesting, though I would strongly caution someone who has not had the surgery yet. Just the thought of the surgery had me ready to head south. I think seeing it might have been a little much.
