I received emails and postings from Angie Strand, Bill Hawley, Steve Giddings, Tim Hawkins, Ed Wehan, Carl Plaskett, Thomas Glass and others that have really lifted my spirits.
Thank you all so much for taking the time to write and give me the encouragment and support that you have.
Today I went and got the new EKG that Cleveland requested. My cardiologist examined it together with the EKG taken 6 weeks after the operation. He says they both show Atrial Flutter. The one taken 6 weeks after the operation and under medication, showed a 4:1 flutter ratio with a ventricular rate of 75 bpm. Today's EKG taken 6 months post op, without medication, shows a flutter ratio of 2:1 with a ventricular rate of 135 bpm.
I have mailed these EKGs and other documents to Dr McCarthy's office. If they tell me to come back for an ablation, I will do so. Angie's posting, in particular, with her description of the softball game, has cheered me up a lot and has made feel that I can't give up now.
