Joe, I am from Renton, WA. I can tell you that there is not a doctor in the Seattle area that knows much about the Maze procedure. I was looking at possibly going to Boise, ID Dr. Barnes, but deceided to go to Cleveland Clinic since they are the leading Maze center and a highly skilled center. I am 38 days post Maze myself. I went to CC for the Maze and ended up with a quadrupple by-pass, Maze and a PFO closure. I am very pleased that I chose the CC. I like other mazers have had some post op problems but nothing that cannot be delt with. I have been in NSR now 15 days. My resting HR today is 79. Thursday it was 68.
