I am starting my sixth week post maze, things are still going well. My rate is in the lower 90s, still am a bit short of breath. Still isnt nice when I cough or sneeze, but its getting better all the time. My EP though not happy that I wasnt going back to Mayo is very happy with how I am doing. He told me he would release me for work when I am ready but will not release for a weight limit, that will have to come from Mayo. I know I wont be ready after the six weeks that Mayo projected think I will need a bit more. What is the adverage that youve been off work? Dont want to be a slacker but dont want to regret going back to early. I work as a clerk in a hospital and I do do a bit of heavy lifting, wish I would have talked a bit longer with the surgeon, but then he is only a phone call away. My walking is coming along and have gotten back to Tai Chi something I realy enjoy doing. Mayo said I could drive after four weeks, so I have been doing some driving but just doing short trips with out much turning, I am lucky to live near what shopping I need, also have some great friends that have looked after me. I feel blessed, by family, friends and this group. Thanks again for all your knowledge, I wouldnt be as far as I am had I not found this sight.
