Wow, it’s hard to believe that 36 days ago I was on the table and others were watching and praying for me. Yes, looking back my recovery reminds me of my days as a kid working the ground with the plow leaving high and low ridges. Then comes the harrow and it all smoothes out. I met with my EP Doc this afternoon, had an EKG, which looked great. He said my heart sounded good and all systems go. My heart rate was 68. I have been in NSR for14 days. Dr Fellows wants to keep me on Betapace for another month since I have been unstable early on. My incision is healing very well. Two of the wires holding the breastbone together are visible but should heal over in the next 2-3 weeks. I will start my Cardiac rehab Friday April 5. I will have an Echo Stress Test May 13th. I have been walking nearly every day for 30 minutes getting my HR up to 80. I am feeling good but do get short of breath when I go over 80.
