I have suffered with A-fib for 8 yrs. I think I had it a lot longer but it was never diagnosed until I found the right Doctor. I credit her with saving my life.
I have been through all of the meds they offer around here and they don't do the job. On Aug. 31,2000; I had the AMD 7250 Defibrillator implanted to be able to deliver a shock to my heart to restore NSR. It worked occasionally but it didn't last very long. Now I'm in A-fib most of the time. I'm on coumadin for protection from stroke plus sotalol, metoprolol,and avapro.
