Currently I have a question to ask my cardiologist at our next visit. I too have been reading about the seeming correlation between exercise and lone AF. My question of him will be whether my former addiciton to 4-wall handball for many years (M-F and many Saturdays with the handball club) may have been an exercise activity that contributed to my lone AF. I do need to acknowledge that my father had AF, but on the other hand, my two brothers do not. While that intense activity was a number of years ago (few people even know what 4-wall handball is now after racquetball became popular )I have wondered what role that may have played as I was in AF for over 25 years until my maze was performed August, 2001. What a blessing the maze has been for me!
