Paul, very good post. My own research on the subject points out much of what you say. Certainly my own life is an example as I was an endurance runner. I know that Anders and Steve Giddings were endurance athletes also and their experiences prompted my own maze. It is our only cure and it works. I've posted much of what I have been able to do post-maze and I'll continue to enjoy the benefits of this surgery. I just came back from a 30 mile backpack trip into an isolated area of Death Valley with 100 degree temps and no problem with the heart. The only downside was that Carl Plaskett was visiting my area so I missed him. Next time, Carl.
