28-Mar-02 04:09 PM from Michelle: Troy got moved from ICU into a cardiac step down unit, at about 11am this morning. He will stay in this room until he is discharged, which will probably be on Monday. Again, he is doing great, the doctors say. He is still in sinus (no a-fib, so far).
Troy asked me to tell everyone that he is suffering more than he ever has in his life. He is in a great deal of pain, that is difficult to control, because he has had so much anesthesia over the last few years (due to all of the sedations when cardioverted). They tried to take him off of morphine, today, but he couldn't tolerate the pain, so they put him back on it.
The doctor just came in the room and said that he is doing great and that he wants Troy to get out of bed and walk, but he said that he is not ready yet, so we will probably wait until tomorrow.
Troy will probably be looking at this site tomorrow, so keep posting messages to him, or at least sign the guest book, so that he knows you are checking on him. It means a lot to him, to know that everyone is concerned about him and he asked me to let all of you know how much he appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
