I wondered if anyone can tell me something. I noticed that many many surgeries are done at the Cleveland Clinic. Even my Surgeon has said that that is the most popular place to have the Maze procedure done.
I met with my surgeon yesterday for my pre-surgery appointment as I am having the Maze done on April 5 (in Hartford, CT), and he said that he does the procedure differently now. Instead of surgically repairing the incisions (which has the 99% success rate), he does it differently. I think he called it the "cryo" technique. This, he said is much less risky, but only has a 90% success rate
Does anyone know if this is how they now do it at the Cleveland Clinic? Thanks for any information you may have. Sandy
