RFA works for almost all cases of re-entrant atrial tachycardias (regular rhythm) also referred to as paroxysmal atrial tachycardia, and works for most cases (termed typical) of atrial flutter. It just doesn't work very well for atrial fibrillation. You should rely on your physician to explain the specifics of your own rhythm disturdance and if you wish, you should get a second opinion. Don't rely on internet news groups for specific medical advice.
