Re:Steve's recommendation: I don't think any mazers are going to shower you with "abuse" Steve, and I do agree that the best person to determine the "risk" is a maze surgeon who might be considering surgery on the patient in question.

As far as the "ethical principle guiding physician behavior" goes, I guess that many, many physicians can "plead ignorance" re: the maze and improving ablation facts, and can continue to prescribe potentially deadly drugs and still not be "guilty" of "doing harm" to a patient, but it doesn't do much for their honor or service to humanity. Three cheers...NO!, make that a THOUSAND cheers for those physicians who continue to look for better solutions. We are the beneficiaries of their curiosity, courage, or whatever motivated them, for we are the cured!
