Jim,

I'm so sorry to hear that you continue to have problems; maybe you'll soon be in NSR continually. I know going back and forth keeps you "on edge" and it's hard to relax. I'll keep you in my prayers.

As for corresponding with the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. McCarthy was my surgeon and Dr. Hammer was my cardiologist. Dr. McCarthy followed my sister and me immediately after surgery until he felt confident that there were no surgical complications and healing was progressing normally. His office did contact my sister at six months post-op to check on us (I guess for statistical purposes) Dr. Hammer wrote a letter to our local cardiologist upon our release from his care and offered to assist with consultation regarding our cases if necessary. Our local doctor has contacted him a couple of times and my sister has called a couple of times to ask questions. He (and his office) have been very responsive to our calls. His personal assistant, whose name I can't recall at the moment, seems to be very good. I would try again to contact them, or have your Dr. call. You deserve some response.

Again, best wishes for your complete recovery.

Terry Gann
