My one year anniversary of my Maze surgery is today. I just read Carl's post, and he mentioned sending a thank-you note to the CC. I, too am very grateful to the knowledgeable persons responsible for developing and perfecting this procedure. After 15 years of a-fib, I was beginning to think that it would be in my life and negatively affecting my activities forever. However, at 44 years of age, I feel as if I have a new lease on life. Thank God!!! This day is also an emotional one for me. This anniversary is just as important to me as other "normal" anniversaries and birthdays because it has enabled me to experience these other times with thankfullness and joy. Thanks to everyone who posts on this board; without you I might still be on medicines and in the dark. I hope the alumni meetinng happens. I would love to meet everyone.
