Good advice from everybody. Thanks. So far, my exercise tolerance is good. Ejection fraction is low end of normal, and improved over the last two echocardiograms. Verapamil is for rate control, not BP, which was never high. The meds keep the pressure low - less than 110 over 60s. And I am avoiding both grapefruit and skiing. I am due for another echo this summer, and I will raise the MAZE issue again when I see my cardiologist on that visit. I also have family in Cleveland, and may schedule a consult at the CC next time I'm out there. I'm not aware of anybody doing MAZE at Hopkins or University Hospital here in Baltimore.
