Henry, I also went through all of the doubts and received advise to be happy with my AFib from the medical experts in my area. I self referred to the Cleveland Clinic and have had normal sinus rhythm immediately following Maze surgery on Oct. 3, 2001, with return to real life. I have had no complications and have gotten my medical license back and am planning to return to work as a radiologist.I take only an aspirin and a fluid pill daily. I think that we should have some letters from the spouses of Maze graduates. They are the ones who really see the difference. I am very enthusiastic about the improvement with this operation and my wife says it is a miracle. She says, GO FOR IT!
