Just got back from Jay Peak VT after it got hit with 3 feet of snow over 5 days. No wind problems at all, and I outskiied my brother who is a fantastic athelete on his own. I had the maze on 4-24-01, and feel quite comfortable being one of the best skiers on the mountain once again.
I still feel some movement in the sternum, but the only thing that it keeps me from is pullups.
One run, I was cutting fresh tracks of uncut knee high powder on a closed glade, and had my skiis run into a submerged log going mach 10. As I was flying through the air, I tucked and did a flip rather than a faceplant, landed OK, thanked God to be alive and healthy and looked for my next adventure with my 13 year old son.
Just a light little ditty from a grateful alumni who has a new lease on life. Life is made up of the moments which can be taken for granted, sometimes too easily, I am very aware of each of life's treasures much more keenly now.
God Bless us every one.
